Installation "Waring" and "DB Error"

hi, i really need help.. i just d/led this about an hour ago and even tho i got everything done and uploaded to the net, i cant seem to be able to past the installation line.. everytime i fill out the form thingy:

Database server type: mysql
Database server hostname: http://xoopiter.com
Database name: xoopiter(am i suppose to write this?)
Database username: bernice-liu.xoopiter.com(just my username rite?)
Database password: *******
Prefix for tables in database: 4images_ (i dont change this rite)
Admin configuration
Admin username: (do u just make up a u/n?)
Admin password: (makeup pass?)
Admin password (Confirm)
 
so i filled that thing all up and whenever i click "start installation" this comes up..

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'bernice-liu.xoopiter.com@70.84.17.245' (Using password: YES) in /home/vhosts/bernice-liu.xoopiter.com/4images/includes/db_mysql.php on line 39

DB Error: Could not connect to the database server (http://xoopiter.com, bernice-liu.xoopiter.com).


(i searched all over this forum but camt seem to find the way to fix it) does this mean my host dont host mysql? cuz they say they do so i dunno whats wrong.. or did i enter the wrong info?

ask your hoster abour the correct information on how to connect to the database.

oh.. ok i got that all done now finially about to install it, but now how do u set permission? i have WS_FTP but i got no idea of how to set permission.. please help

try to reupload template.php file, it might got corrupted.

P.S. make sure u upload .php files in text mode, not binary

ok so i reuploaded it and it works now, but once again i got another problem sry 4 bothering u soo much.. i just really wanna be able to get this up and running.. now when i go there this shows up

i'm think its the 'period'(.) infront of /tem.. is it not? cuz it looks werd like that but how do i delete it?

no, its not. Its more like permissions issue, please read docs/installation.txt

oo.. i thought i set all the permission already.. but guess not

also theres sumthing werid w/ WS FTP cuz when i set the permission to 666 then press ok.. then later on go back to c the property of the same file it becomes 766;; any 1 kno y? and also is that y the header logo.. and the other images dont show up.. only the pic i uploaded shows up.. c for urself http://bernice-liu.xoopiter.com/gall

oh nvm.. apparently when i set it to 777 it shows up..not sure if this should be set to 777 but atleast it shows up
