Downloads Problem... Need help please..
« on: June 07, 2005, 04:23:22 PM »
Hi, I have a big problem with downloads bigger than 5 MB. I look in the forum but I did not find any answer to my problem... Well I cannot modify my php.ini . I have my memory-limit at 8Mb.
Any idea to download the files bigger than 5Mb...?
I tried the external URL download.. but does not work... :( . The link I have is http://www.midomain.com/data/media/cat_id/image_name

Any idea, suggestion.. I don't know what to do.. I have several videos bigger than 50Mb... and I need my users can download them...

Thanks for all...
Ruben

You may ask your hoster to change the restrictions...
That's all you can do...

hm, wait - you can't even download files via a direct link to the file???

Did you ask your provider for help?

Martrix, No I cannot download files via direct link.  :(

You can see the 2 big files I have at http://www.dismedia.com/ahs6839/categories.php?cat_id=7

The two files are the same but one of them is a ZIP...

Thanks again..... hope we can solve this problem...

the best way to trace this is get access to server error logs files. ask your hoster if they can provide u with them.
we need to know what exactly is happening..

OK, Vano. Thanks
I'll get the server log.

As soon as I get it I will post it.

Thanks again.
