problem with user activation email..

i have 11 people registered on my 4images page. two of them never received their activation email and for the other one it took an entire day before he got the email. now i was wondering what might cause this and also i do not have my script sending email through the smtp in settings. would adding my smtp info and activating it in the settings page be a more reliable way to send emails? thank you.

u should ask this question to your hoster, there is something wrong with sendmail on the server.

Possibly... it depends on the reliability of the SMTP server you select to use

Would it be possible, to make a link in the ACP which would cause a re-send of activation e-mails to all inactive accounts?

Everybody, who's asking "would it be possible to..." does that,
because he/she hopes the other are not so lazy/busy like him/her 


It is alway a time-question for me and if one is toooo busy...  then a bunch of things
remains a "vision" or "wish" for a long time...

This is with a lot of things I would like to do (not only modding 4images  )
