strange issue playing video
« on: July 22, 2009, 10:29:38 PM »
I followed this thread http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=7277.30 by mawenzi about adding wmv and all seems well except one small issue

My gallery directory folder is password protected (not sure if this matters) and all pictures display fine but when I click on the video I'm prompted to add username/password again?????
I have tried logged in as admin also, no difference.
Any ideas appreciated.

yes, I even tried converting it and uploading manually. Only other one I tried was a flash (which I had to add manually) and it worked fine.

I have comment issues to deal with, so video's will have to wait.

That is correct, in fact this is one of the issues related to windows media player (WMP) (assuming you are using it on your page), especially when used in Firefox.

To be short, WMP doesn't inherit browser's session and starts a new session with the server.
