No Auto Recize

Hi all.
For example my image has 1632x1124 pixels...I want image to have a stadard size for example 800X600, cose it's to big
and I can't see the whole image.
I set in Control Panel:

Max. image width/height in pixel to 800x600 & Resize proportional but still nothing changes.
Help pls.
