[REQ] Template which shows pictures in subcategories

Hi,

I'am looking for a template which doe sthe following:

Maincategory: Private
Subcategories: New, Old, Cat, Dog

If I go to category "Private" ist should show all subcatgories with all thumbnails of the pictures in it. Normally the templates shows only the name of the subcategories.

Any ideas?

I would also like know; if I'm understanding his questions.
I want a thumbnail for each of my subcategories ...
This is the default for the Coopermine and Gallery2 galleries.
But I've looked and looked and can't seem to find a place
to turn this on. Perhaps a line of html code?

I Dont' want to see pictures/thumbs for the category itself.
I want to see all pictures of that category:
