Additional Fields in Images

I searched hi and low - I am probably experiencing another blond moment -

I would like to add additional fields in images, aside from description and keywords

I see that there is a provision for it in the code

variable appears through the script
but I cannot find how to activate it, where to enter them

any pointers would be much appreciated!  I am building family album under http://www.kloubek.com for my folks in Europe

ADDED LATER: I spoke too soon - I just now found db_fields_definitions.php file - which si what I was looking for!
