How to stream video instead of download?

Hi,
 I have a video website, and I need to stream the video, instead of downloading it. I have given the download URL as , an html file for html streaming. But the window shows just a blank screen.  However if I type the URL to the html file in a new window, the video streams fine. My video is a wmv file.
ANy ideas?
