Is it safe to upgrade from 1.0 to 1.61?

Jan, THANK YOU   for the greatest script we've ever used!  It gets ton of traffic at our pug rescue site (www.pugrescue.org).  I'm anxious to upgrade to ver 1.61, but do not see if I need to upgrade to 1.5, and then 1.6, or can I go directly to 1.61 from 1.0 safely? :   I appreciate your help.

Yes you can, but: BACKUP first your old data and files!!!
