File upload problems

i run a site for incredimail letters and am having a problem with users uploading these files the extentions are .imf and .ims i have set these in the control panel and done up the templates in the media directory yet still they cant upload the error i get is

Error uploading image file:
letter_3d_0100.imf: Invalid file type (imf, application/x-incredimail)

the only files that will upload are zip and jpg files any help would be great
