Batch Uploads Not Showing Up

Hi.  Ive searched the forum and I havent found an answer to this problem Im having.  My permissions are set and everything is working fine.  I can upload images through the admin control panel, and they show up in the galleries but I have no ideea where they go because they arent in the folders through FTP.  When I try to batch upload pictures through ftp I cant get them to show up in the admin panel to validate them.  Any idea what the problem is here? (and the permissions are set correctly)

sounds like you are trying to see them in the wrong place..or you upload them in the wrong place...

Its showing up now, but its like it takes 15 minutes for the images to appear.  Is that the script or a server problem?

And one more question...on the settings I set the maximum height and width of a thumbnail, I set the proportions and told it to automatically  create a thumbnail.  But when I upload and add the picture its regular size. I tried not uploading a thumbnail and it still didnt resize the photo (it just showed the default jpg image).  Am I missing something?

these settings not applyed to ACP uploading, they only affect members upload.
For you as admin there are "auto image resizer" and "auto thumbnailer" tools.

Okay I found this auto image resizer, but Im still confused. All it does is look for missing thumbnails, and it says I dont have any (when I do).  How do I get it to resize my images??
