netbpm installation pb

ok.. i searched on this forum how to auto create the thumbails..then i found that the easiest program wsa netbpm.. so i d/l it & upload it on my server..
but i have a pb: i had this "NetPBM error. Wrong path or NetPBM not installed.
Check module settings. "

i read this error in this forum but i didn't find the solution..my path is probably wrong in my 4images settings. I tried this but it doesn't work , then i went to the search results about netbpm but i still don't find the solution even if i looked at this topic (sorry seffren)... so can someone help me to find the right path plz?

Did you get the right package of NetPBM based on the operating system?

Next, if you use a unix-type operating system, is the directory containing netpbm both readable and executable? (chmod 755)

i think the package of netpbm is maybe wrong.. i m still waiting an answer from my host

i still have the problem.. i d/l netpbm latest - source  version 10.15 ... & uploaded on my server.. ( i created a special directory for all the files of netpbm or do i have to put them on 4images file directly?)

any ideas about the right path?
