8) If your question was answered / problem solved - "mark" it as "solved"
Not many people noticed this, but we have a feature on this forum - "Topic solved".
If your question was answered or problem was solved, please click on icon next to the reply that aswered your question. Doing this, will put as the topic icon, that should help other people more easy find a topic with a answer/solution for their question/problem.

Also, if you decided that the reply was mistakenly marked as "solved" you can always remove the mark by clicking on icon.
In fact, you can use that icon to mark a specific reply as "wrong" Wink

Please note, that icons for "Topic solved" feature only available to original author of the topic only.

I would like to mark a topic in this forum as solved, but stupid me  :? can't find the "green hook" icon anywhere although being the original author of the topic. Testing shows follwing results:

  • In Firefox 1.5.0.2 (userprofile-language GERMAN): no icons shown at all (my default setting)
  • In Firefox 1.5.0.2 (userprofile-language ENGLISH): correct icons shown
  • In IE 6.0 (userprofile-language GERMAN): 2 "broken image"-icons shown
  • In IE 6.0 (userprofile-language ENGLISH): correct icons shown
  • In Netscape 7.01 (userprofile-language GERMAN): no icons shown at all
  • In Netscape 7.01 (userprofile-language ENGLISH): correct icons shown

Maybe its usefull or even necessary to change this behaviour.

A hobby is a great way to spent time you actually don't have!
