installation prob -> Could not connect to the database server

i just got my new domain name , however i installed images to the new server but i got this message


Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'fehr_poupa@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home/fehr/public_html/gallery/includes/db_mysql.php on line 39

DB Error: Could not connect to the database server (localhost, fehr_poupa).

i don't know wjhat did i do wrong can someone help me please??

WRONG MYSQL ACCESS DETAILS  , contact your webhoster for correct mysql details !!

Hi!
I have searched the whole site now and I would like to ask.
I had my gallery working with a database imga1.
I copied it to another directory and wanted to have a database imga2 to it.
When I changed my config.php, only in the database name I got that connection error. Since than IŽve been trying everything I could.
The last thing I did was really STUPID! I deleted my imga1
Now I try to reupload the sql file and the error continues!?!

And now, who could save me?

The question is not "who" but "what" could save you most likely. Before you deleted imga1's database, did you made a backup of it ? If so, simply go to your phpmyadmin and restore your previous database entries by re-importing your SQL files. All should be re-stablized from there.

Hi the Oracle!
Yes I had a backup I could restore it

But there is something related to config.php and includes/db_mysql.php on line 39

When I first tryed to restore it, it kept giving me the connection problem.

The only solution was to install a fresh 4images via fantastico, than I restored the sql and copied all the old files to my new installation except for  config.php and the includes/db_mysql.php.

This worked, but I still would like to know what is the relation with these two that doesnt allow the database to connect if you change to another database...

Well, if you have the same server name, login name and password and simply a different database name, I don't see how this could really affect. Perhaps there might be a slight difference on your mySQL account you forgot to modify in config.php file ?
