Why is this happening??
« on: November 11, 2005, 03:57:51 AM »
I re-installed my 4images removed what it said to remove (the install & update_tp_.php files) and everything was fine. I went to the home.html and removed the "header_logo.gif" and replaced it with my image "galpic.png." However, it doesn't show. And the folders and other images don't show either, like the "upload", etc. Why?? How come?? Please someone, please help!!!!!  :(

Why?? How come??
with as much details you've provided the only conclusion would be:
You did something wrong.
Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:

http://www.alonso.fancube.com/imgs/templates/default/images/galpic.png

Code: [Select]
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /imgs/templates/default/images/galpic.png on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Thats the Problem...

I fixed it, lol!! Ok, thanks so much!  :D I got that one good ... except ... there's still a problem. My folders, upload buttons, etc and other images from the default template still don't show. What's wrong with those??  :? :|

Umm ok ... but what I did for my galpic I  just moved it to my main page and removed it out of the /images/templates/default/images folder and put in this url http://alonso.fancube.com/galpic.png and that's how it works.

How can I get all the default images (folders, upload, lightbox, etc) to work w/out me doing what I did to the galpic? I can't move them ....

* sry if i'm buggin .........

review docs/installation.txt - the sollution to your problem you can find there.

permissions from the folders are wrong?

Funny that you say that .... I know for a fact that I did it right and CHMOD'd my folders right (images-666)-right? And when I check my ftp it says 766, I keep chmoding it to 666 however it keeps going to 766. So maybe that's it? I don't kno why my ftp is doing that ... any ideas?

What if that's NOT the problem? You think it can be something else?

And to V@no

I did everything that it said to do except I DID NOT delete data/database/default & docs ... so, maybe that??

strange, you need to set your image Folder also on CHMOD 777...
I think you must talk to the Admin of the Server, then this is a security hole when you set all Folders on CHMOD 777...
