« on: May 02, 2005, 01:31:00 AM »
hello i'm working at this moment in a free server, and it does not have an smtp server, so the confirmations emails of the 4images gallery, e-cards and others are not sent... can u tell me what smtp servers can i use? i tried with hotpop.com and gmail.com, but mails were not sent, it shows a message telling that these servers are only for users... i do not understand, i set all the information crrectly:

smtp server: smtp.hotpop.com
username: my-email-address@hotpop.com
password: my-password

did u try use build-in mail() function (just set to "no" SMTP server in the settings)
Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
Please do not PM me asking for help unless you've been specifically asked to do so. Such PMs will be deleted without answer. (forum rule #6)
Extension for Firefox/Thunderbird: Master Password+    Back/Forward History Tweaks (restartless)    Cookies Manager+    Fit Images (restartless for Thunderbird)

yeah i did, but didnt work, when sending a postcard for example it apparently works, the confirmation page is shown telling me that the post have been sent, but in fact it wasn't sent... i'm working by now with a free hosting (100webspace.com) and it does not provide an smtp server. That's why i tried to set my own smtp info.... but it does not work... what can i do?
