Question about installation

Ermm... hello. I recently downloaded this wonderful software, and when I setup all of the database requirements ETC, I went to /scans/config.php & all I got was the following:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/strdsgn/public_html/scans/config.php on line 25

What do I do?!
