Upload a directory full of images

Is there any plugin that do that? For example i select a directory and selects wich category it should be under and then just hit a button and it uploads all images from that folder (and after that i maybe go to control panel and generates thumbnails etc)?

Im just to lazy to upload them 1 at a time

As far I as I know this is not possible with PHP at all...unless u use some java applets or something...
