admin activation doesn't work

I have some problems with the activation of users. In the control panel I choose at the "Account activation" "by admin". But when I tried to register myself under a different name I didn't receive an email. I tried to find out why and I think I have found the problem

The admin email is set to antonbeerens@hotmail.com but when I opened "send email to users" I saw the following text.

administrators
>> beerens (admin@ypurdomain.com)

registered users (not activated)
>> abeerens (beerens@net.nl)

Why isn't the email behind beerens set to the same one as admin email? and how can I resolve this problem. I searched the source and config files but I can't find any of the above emailadresses.

You can set the admin email in your settings.

I did check it and that one was correct. I checked the database myself and to my surprise I found under the table _settings at "site_email" the value admin@yourdomain.com. I have changed this, but I still dont get any email when a user want to register. (I assume an email is send to the administrator to lett him know somebody want to register...)

That's right, the admin should receive a message. Do yopu have only problems with this email or a general email problem?

Only with this one, when I try to send an email myself (using the user email in the control panel) everything goes ok. But I also don't receive an email when I set the Acount activation to email. The user receives an email with an activation link but the administrator doesn't receive anything to make him aware of the new user...

Any idee what could be the problem?
