why does this continue to happen?

Everytime I make a new category (and let's say it's id is "12") I have to go to my ftp and delete the folders that say "12" in both data/media and data/thumbnails ... because if I don't when I go to upload my images and thumbnails I get a "warning" msg. saying that it's on SAFE MODE and the files are not set to proper permission, etc. When the files are set to their propper permission. It works when I do it manually, though.

But, it's kind of annoying to constantly do this ... any ideas on what to do? Why is it coming out in safe mode ...?

you have to options:
1) contact your host administrator and ask them to turn off safe mode and hope they do that
2) you change the host

If you dont like either of the options, then you'll have to stick with manualy recreating folders.
And please, no more topics about safe mode! this is just rediculous how many of them we arleady have and people keep asking and asking questions...
