4images with phpBB Sessions?

I want to use an image gallery as well as a message board (OpenSource: phpbb).
I am wondering if anybody is using 4images with phpBB in that way that the user has to register only in the board and the session from the board is used for 4images and its permissions, too (i.e. a category is handled like a forum).
Or does a mod/plugin exist for that issue?
