GD problem

I have GD in my site but I get an errotr message when trying to creat the thumbnails :
check my php host here http://www.zaidal.com/phpinfo.php
 ch (chris.gif) ....  
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagegif() in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/zaidal.com/httpdocs/phgallery/includes/image_utils.php on line 79

I believe the error about the gif means your GD version cannot process gif images.  the newer versions do not have gif support do to a legal issue.

however, not sure why it won't process jpegs

if you've got 5 meg of server space you don't mind using.. upload netpbm.   I use it on a few sites, and it works fine.  installation is simple.  just upload the files

ok but I am net the host of my site ..... I have access to the server .. is it enough ... my server is :Linux RedHat 7.1 with Plesk server software
