SMTP mail
« on: November 08, 2002, 12:23:28 AM »
I`ve tried to setup the 4images script to use SMTP mail, using my own mail server which is configured to use SMTP authentication.
I`ve selected SMTP mail and entered the correct username and password for my SMTP server, but when I try and send an email to members, or when new people try and register, it says that the server isn`t using authentication, and to try and leave the username and password blank.
Using a normal mail client like Outlook Express, the SMTP server works fine. What am I doing wrong ?

Any help much appreciated !

Thanks.

Nige.
