help with borders and tables

  hi there,
been trying to get a border to properly wrap around my header_logo.gif image, but it is stretched to 759x500 instead of the 667x500 i need.
i have a pic uploaded to show what i mean:

and the second issue is at the bottom of my page i want to put black borders around the images in the {new_images} tag, the picture i have for this show what borders i mean, and the second small square is a table i want to be shrunk down to the same size as the header_logo.gif image, and the dotted line is where i want that #e9e3e5 colored table to be shrunk down to:
