4images not made for 300,000 users, ACP pages won't load

I have over 300k registered users in my 4images installation. Problem is many pages refuse to load (eg. an Edit images search) or show a fatal error ("Allowed memory size of...") and I'm pretty sure that's because 4images tries to load all 200.000 usernames into a dropdown list.

How do I replace this dropdown list with something more memory/server-friendly? Or are there any other ways to mod 4images for a large memberbase?

You are 100% correct.

I don't remember seeing any mods fixing this. But I'll see what I can do this weekend.
