Limitations of files in Categories?
« on: January 30, 2006, 03:09:08 PM »
Hello 2gether,

how many files can be stored in one category? are there any limitations?
I have 2575 pictures in one category and 4images shows 2048 pics only.

Can anybody in here give me a tip on it?

Thanks for your help....

There are no "known" limitations...where exactly does it show?
I have a category with over 2600 files and no problem

Hello Vano,

it's displayed in categories, after categories name (2048). the files are transferred via WS-FTP and should transfer 2575 files.

Problem is that it happend with 2 categories. Thats why i thougt there is a limitation.

I will check all things I've done double with phpmyadmin and give you a note where I made the error (luckely if I did)....

Vano, I follow all your posts and mods and like to give you a big hug for your fast and good support for all the people here.

Ok, so you've uploaded the files via FTP, then did you do "check new images" from ACP (Admin Control Panel)? did you add the images into 4images database? Did you follow the topic in our FAQ on how to upload files via FTP?
So, asuming all 2575 images were added in the database, now, if you enter that category does it show you "found 2048 images on XX pages"? (or something simular)
2048 is a round number for programs (1 kbyte is actualy 1024 bytes, 2 x 1024 = 2048), which means it possible some server/system restrictions applyed, I dont know.

thank you

 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I solved the problem.......

I've double checked it all and used FileZilla as Ftp Program and it works.

Thanks for your great support. I already paid for a full license of 4images, cause I like it very much.

Before I'll ask next stupid questions I'll check everything double or better triple......

Greetings to all of you
