templates won't take?

I have placed the new templates in the templates directory. When I go and choose a new template from the list, I only see the default one. Can anyone help?

This may seem silly but did you place all the new templates in a new directory at the same level as "default"?

Example:

4images/templates/default
4images/templates/new_set

Only then will you see "default" and "new_set" in the drop down list.

i am having a similar problem only the template i installed is showing but when i choose it and click on load theme and then save changes at the bottom of the screen the new template doesn't change from the default.  I do have it as the same level as the default folder.. any ideas?
