Discussion & Troubleshooting / HUge Problem with 4Images

Hey little one, WoBPictures.com is owned by CelebrityWonder.com, I don't earn money, they do, I just maintain it, they pay for all the hosting fees, keeps me happy...

You on the other hand, you're a little misguided lowlife who finds hacking websites the only way to get attention to the miserable life you have going on wherever you are.....and trust me, everybody knows that....you may end up doing whatever with your skills, but in the end, we'll always prevail.....you're wasting your time. Go out, find a girl instead dude, you're seriously pathetic......you seem like the kind of guy who can't stand to look at yourself in the mirror....

Jan....your software is kick ass.....haven't registered it yet, but I've gotten you a bunch of referrals....can't wait for version 2.0.

Discussion & Troubleshooting / HUge Problem with 4Images
« on: August 07, 2002, 08:55:54 PM »
Allright, well, everything was working fine, I had the failsafe at a certain level so the server load wouldn't go off peak but now my image archive is impossible to access, it gives me the server_busy.html all the time.....

I don't know if someone is flooding the website with packets or if there is a serious problem with the mySQL or something like that...

Either way, I really need a solution for this....please please help me.

Thank You.

« on: July 01, 2002, 04:49:46 PM »
It says I have 77 images waiting for validation.....

But lol........when I want to check for them I type 77 and it says:

"Just Relaxing Because You Give Me Nothing To Do!"

LoL what does that mean?

Thanks dude ! You rock, lol......hey how old are you? You're famous ! lol......  8)

Ok thanks,
Would it be possible for you to add that on the next version?

I would like to be able put certain people in a user group that will show my 4images website with a different template. Is that possible?

Thanks.

Installation, Update & Configuration / Ok, I still have problems...

I'm still trying to figure this out...

Jan,
Thanks for the response.
Well, it's working, but it's constantly going over 5.00.

Is there a way that you could do something about this problem? It seems like if the software does not support high traffic sites?

I was talking to someone yesterday and he looked over the config.php and main.php and said how yoou didn't use something called "pconnect" or something like that?

I have to set the load to 10.00 so that the archive can be acceptable without it redirecting the users to the too_busy page all the time.

Like I said, the database locks a bunch of processes as well as works silently on them for a long long time...

Anyway you could offer support for high traffic websites in future releases of the software (although I would sorta need help now) so that it can run smoothly now matter how many pictures it has?

Thanks.

Thank you, would that code go above the <?php or above

if (!defined('ROOT_PATH')) {
  die("Security violation");
}

??

Thanks..

I go to PHPMyAdmin and check out the processes and there are like maybe 15 that are locked....seems like 4Images does sleeping processes that lasts for minutes !

Anyway I can fix this problem without having to restart mySQL twice an hour? My server's gonna die soon if I can't fix a solution for this...

Is there a way you can write like, or create a script that will shut the site off to certain people when it overloads the server and like, it redirects them to a special notice page instead ?

Thanks..

Jan, I am not saying it's not working...

I am saying that the Comment AREA is aligned to the RIGHT....the second cell, where the comment text is supposed to go, it seems like it's locked at 20 pixes in width or something...

I downloaded a brand new copy of the software just to make sure, and well on the template for details.html, there is no "{comments}" anywhere, there is a "{comment_form}"

Now, please go here:

http://www.wobpictures.com/details.php?image_id=637

I have that that like this:

<div align="center">
        <center>
        <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-collapse: collapse" bordercolor="#111111" width="640" id="AutoNumber27">
          <tr>
            <td>
            <p align="center">
              <br>
            {if rate_form}</p>
            <div align="center">{rate_form}</div>
            <p align="center">{endif rate_form} <br>
            <br>
            {if allow_comments}</p>
            <div align="center">
              <center>
              <table border="1" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-collapse: collapse" bordercolor="#111111" width="640" id="AutoNumber31">
                <tr>
                  <td width="311">{lang_author}</td>
                  <td width="326">{lang_comment}</td>
                </tr>
              </table>
              </center>
            </div>
            <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-collapse: collapse" bordercolor="#111111" width="100%" id="AutoNumber30">
              <tr>
                <td width="100%">
                <p align="center"><br>
                {comments}<br>
                {endif allow_comments} </td>
              </tr>
            </table>
            <p align="center">{comment_form}</p>
            <div align="center">
              <center>
              <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-collapse: collapse" bordercolor="#111111" width="475" id="AutoNumber29">
                <tr>
                  <td width="267">
                  <p align="left">{if prev_image_name}{lang_prev_image}<br />
                              <b><a href="{prev_image_url}">{prev_image_name}</a></b>
                       <!-- <br /><br /><a href="{prev_image_url}"><img src="{prev_thumb_file}" border="1"></a> -->
                       {endif prev_image_name} </td>
                  <td width="231">
                  <p align="right">{if next_image_name}{lang_next_image}<br />
                              <b><a href="{next_image_url}">{next_image_name}</a></b>
                       <!-- <br /><br /><a href="{next_image_url}"><img src="{next_thumb_file}" border="1"></a> -->
                       {endif next_image_name}</td>
                  </tr>
                </table>
                </center>
              </div>

Now, if you take a look at it......The "Author" and "Comment" part is like....has nothing to do with it...but it's still on the 1.5 template...

Then, the title and text on the comment box is totally aligned to the right.....how do I fix this?

Thanks.
