Hm, sorry thats not what I'm searching for.
You understand what I mean? I don't think so.
If you klick on a thumbnail in the category you'll get tho the detail view.
In this view the original uploaded image will shown. In the original dimension an file size.
The most users just want to view a bigger image like in the category, thats why they visit the details. At least they don't want to download that image. But they wasted the traffic, because the full image was send to the user.
Now imagine that was a 2MB high resolution picture of 2000x1600. And now I have houndrets of them and thousands of users browsing that database per day. Now, if 2000 want a bigger view and klick on the detail i get a traffic of 4.4 gigabyte per day. And just 200 users want to download that images.
So 1800 users wasted a traffic of 3.6 gigabytes, because they get the full image send. And that per day!!!!
And now my wish to create a second thumbnail for the detail view.
That will reduce
A) The image resolution from (example) 2000x1600 to 700x1060. That would be better viewable and you mustn't longer scroll around.
B) The image size from 2MB to (example) 200kb. A Traffic safing of 1800KB.
Traffic reduce to 90%!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats I'm searching for. I'm wasting terrabytes!
You understand now?
Current I'm using the resize script, that reduce the dimension by viewing. But that won't reduce the image size!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because they're not a created thumbnail.
Original file size = resized displayed file size
