Is it possible to increase the brightness of the image when the thumbnail is being made ?

Some of the images look fine as big pictures, but when you make thumbnails  - sometimes they come out a bit darker than you like. It's especially true if there is massive ammounts of white space.

I would really like the ability to have a few "Categories" that will redirect the user to another site, instead of the list of images page. Bescailly I'm about to have a site with one set of galleries, and I have another site coming up that might have the same set of pictures in there. I would like people to be forwarded to the old site to see the contents of the category. I just want a link forwarder. No need for any of the images to be criss cross into the other gallery.

any help is greatly appreciate

Maybe collecting some sort of hits in or out? - but not necessary ^_^
