Good Day,
Off the 9 folders that were CHMOD to 777 only 1 has the.htaccess fill in it. So for this to work I would have to create the fill in the other 8 folders. So;
(a) Is it just that code that has to be entered or additional 'normal stuff' code. ( I am not familiar with .htaccess)
(b) Would this bit of code have any effect on the operation of the script since it is written in .php that I have to account for.
I am new to all of this so I am not sure and want to know before I start making changes. Do not want to mess things up after all.

Got a problem with this mod. I can't seem to edit any category names after I install this mod. I am able to create categories with no problem but just to edit category names and saving wouldn't work at all. Any help regarding this issue?

I have just installed the MOD successfuly changed the image (to a kitty cat
) and was able to change the folder name. I had a second folder that I created before installing and did not change the category image on that folder. I was able to change the name on that folder also. So sorry to say I think you may have a typo in you installation somewhere. - I am also running Version: 1.7.6
- Another thing to remeber is that the image will be the same size as the thumbnails on your site so you will create a new folder and set all levels to admin only. Just make/get whatever image you want and/or modify it the size you want via your bution creation program and then upload it to the new. I have not tried it as of yet but in theroy it should work just fine.

I have not installed this MOD and was reading to see if it worked with V.1.7.6 and read the edit catagory problem. A round about fix would be create the new catagory with the new name and then use this MOD http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=6759.0 to move the images. After delete the old catagory.

Good Day,
I do not know if this has been mentioned in the 11 pages but when I first installed the MOD it would not work at all and when I tried to download a picture I got an error. The problem was that I used th install.zip from "Download this installer" and not the link that actually says .zip in (the second and last link) if you use the first one the database will not be updated and therefor cause the errors. When used the link dl_limit_install.zip (1.96 KB - downloaded xxx times.) it worked like a charm on V.1.7.6 so why does one work and not the other? Is one for one version and the other for another?
I got it to work so if you are having the same problem that when you point your browser to the install file and all that happens is the screen reloads than try the other one, worked for me.

Well learning template design I have come across this situation. Is it possible to take the dropdown catagory list found in the advabced search form and add it to the basic main page search form so that you can search per selected catagory. I am assuming that in the current advanced search form that if you do not select a catagory it searches all catagories (correct assumption?) I have been searching the forums for this answers so I am posting this in hopes that someone can point me in the correct direction.

Thank You very much for the help and the solutions to my problems, also I would like to apologize for the lack of the error message and you are correct that would have been helpful but I was running out of time before I had to leave for work. It was my hope to get a response for when I got home and therefor did not have the time to give all the information.
Both solutions worked out just the way that I was hoping them to. When I first tried to implement the soultion for the hotlinking I uploaded the .php file and then just clicked the random picture to test and it came back with the error once again. So after redoing it a few times and getting the same result I them reloaded the main homepage and then clicked on the new images that are displayed on the main screen and it worked, without any error. Now I can click on any picture including the random image there is no error at all. I do not understand why I had to go back to the homepage to avoid the error message but it works and that is what matters.

I am extremely new to this program and I am still feeling my way around with different mods etc.
I have successfully installed this mod without a problem, but the problem arises when I try to limit the options to just the second last one, the one titles 'Share this image' I want to get rid of all the other links as this one would allow for posting to other sites but force the person to come to my site to view it which results in a new member (hopefully). I am taking something out of the code that results in an error in the detail.php file, can some please advise on what I am sure is a newbie error.
Also I just noticed that you can not highlight the link and then right click to copy as a copyright message appears preventing this. To me this makes the link option nonvalid. I am playing around with version 1.7.6 which memory serves me correctly this has only been test to 1.7.4 so is there a way around this second problem?
