Discussion & Troubleshooting / Registration Loop
« on: September 14, 2008, 11:51:07 PM »
I'm using the latest 4images (1.7.6) with a heavily-modified template that started as Dacapo by rustynet.

When new users try to register, they are returned to the registration page. No errors or notices of any kind. Where are they supposed to go when the registration goes through? Is there a "success" page? The administrator is notified of new registrations, but the user has no idea it has gone through.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance...

Thank you so much for your work! I have just returned from vacation and haven't had a chance to try this, but I wanted to make sure I thanked you for your complex reply. I really appreciate it! :D

I'll reply with the results, soon.

Nobody? K'mon: Can any PHP wiz pull thumbs for a category to be displayed on another (external to $images) part of the site? I know somebody can do this.

Thanks for any blind alley you can send me down... ;)

I'm sorry if this has been covered, but I couldn't find it with the searches I tried:

I would like to have a small group of thumbnails on a site homepage that would be pulled from one category in 4images. Kind of like a "featured thumbs" kind of thing. I've seen mods in this forum for new images, etc. on outside pages, but I'm not well versed enough in PHP to alter those scripts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone is familiar with OpenRealty, this would be like Al Smith's "Featured off-site" plug-in...

Thanks in advance for any input!

Got it! I must have had a comma out of place or something. It definitely does work in 1.7.6.

Thank you for your reply.

Now, if I could only have different resizing requirements for different user groups... but I guess that should be under requests. ;)

Does this work with the most recent version (1.7.6)?

I tried to follow the procedure as described here, but nothing shows up in the control panel under settings. I have PHP 4.4.4 and everything else seems compatible. But this was last updated four years ago, so I'm wondering if this is still a valid mod, or if anyone has a more current one?

Thanks in advance...

Discussion & Troubleshooting / RSS in Thunderbird
« on: November 20, 2007, 03:36:38 PM »
Sorry if this has been covered, but I couldn't find anything similar by searching the forums:

RSS works well with a Firefox bookmark, but nothing shows up in Thunderbird news & RSS reader.

Checked it in feedvalidator.org:

 1.
 2.

 3.

 4.
 5.
Anole Imaging Gallery Pages

 6.

 7.
Anole Imaging Gallery Pages

 8.

 9.
 10.
 11.

 12.

This makes it look like nothing would show up, but I don't know why it works so well in FF..?

I saw mention here about adding the RSS meta to the head, but when I tried that it showed two identical feeds when I clicked the address bar RSS icon. Neither showed up in Thunderbird.

FF, TB 2.0.0.9

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

PS My site requires a login to see any images, but I am always logged in.
