Hey can anyone tell me how to have more than 9 as the default number of images displayed on the category pages which show the thumbnails?  I know how to change the amount of numbers to go in the drop down menu at the bottom thru the control panel, but I cant see anything about the default number?!  Please help!!

Hi.  My host has just transferred over to a new server and they transferred all my files, including my mySQL datbases.  But, they didn't work properly and when I loaded the 4images directory there was an error saying it couldn't connect to DB.  So I opened config.php and changed to my new databse user name and password.  Then I reloaded my 4images directory and it loaded, but there are no images to be seen, no users, no nothing.  I had over 300 images and over 400 members so obviously you can all see I don't want to lose all that data.  The tables in the database were in tact from my old server until I changed the info in the config.php file, but I still have a copy of the database in a .sql file on my PC.  If anyone can help with this problem, thanks a lot.  I do not have a very good knowledge of phpMyAdmin so some help or advice would be great.  Thanks a lot. hey, I read a thread on here that you can upload images into the directories via the FTP client.  Well, I created the categories in the admin page and then went into the FTP and uploaded all images into the data/media and data/thumbnails directories (the image and thumbnail names matched) but still it didn't work!  I want to upload 100+ images into a category and I don't want to upload one by one!

Also, I read on here that you sometimes have to delete the category folders the first time and then make new ones with the same name and CHMOD it to 777.  I have to do this EVERYTIME i make a new cat.  is there any way to solve this aswell?

hello, the default template of 4images is fine, but lots of sites use their own templates.  could somebody tell me which files to edit to make my own template?  i dont see any which look like they change the appearence.  please help

please help me.  when I go to upload images to ANY category it doesn't work.  this is the message i get at the top of the page:-

hello i need help! I have gone to the installation (ive uploaded all files) and it says I have successfully installed but "can't right config.php to server" - "download file and upload via ftp to 4images directory" I have downloaded AND uploaded config.php to every folder in the 4images directory and when i go to the default directory - /gallery/ i still get the installation screen ! what have I done wrong? what do I need to do next?

hello, I've never set up a mySQL database before, never installed forums etc, so it's quite difficult for me to do.
Here's my problem, I've uploaded all my files and it says to Install - what is the "Database server hostname"?  I've tried my domain britneyspy.com, and britneyspy@localhost and neither work.  Please help. : (the german below is with a translator so it might be not correct)
