I was hoping to improve the quality of the thumbnails that are produced by still using imagemagic. By just great what I meant was that it resizes just great - the quality of some of the thumbs produced is very low.

I thought that changing -sample to -quality was the answer. Am I mistaken in this thought?

Should I be starting with a larger image size to generate thumbs or is 450 width OK.

Regards

Hi, I use imagemagic and it works just great when asked to resize my 450 pixel images to 100 pixel thumbs.

I have changed the wording from sample to quality as shown but now the thumbnails are produced at 450 pixel size!

I have tried to change the settings in CP with no luck and have changed back to the word sample and all returns to normal. - 100 pixel thumbs.

Any help?

Thanks.

Thanks for the input, I thought about it overnight and have taken the easy option of placing a new index page in every directory with the following code in it.

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Your Title</TITLE>
<meta HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="0; URL=http://yourdomain/4images">
</HEAD>
<BODY>
</BODY>
</HTML>

It seems to work for now - Jan this is maybe something you could integrate much better in the next version.

Thanks again.

Hi,

When a new category is created the directory does not appear to have any html or php file inside it to prevent directory browsing.

For example on my site if you visit http://www.airphoto.co.uk/4images/data/media/8/

You get to see in that directory (category). - It's just a test photo.

On the other hand if you click on Vano's wonderful site (Always a good example) you get a 404 page not found.
http://come.no-ip.com/data/media/3/

What I would like is to have the visitor trying to access my directories to be directed to the initial page and an image warning that it is not allowed.

Anybody?

Best wishes.

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Database reset - category numbers.

Is it possible to reset the category numbers without disturbing the database?

Having been in development for 6 months now I have deleted a lot of old categories that I no longer need. The numbering is now something like this.

1,4,9,10,12,18,23,24,30. etc.

I would like to be able to renumber them into their logical order again.

Nice mod and I got it working in just a few minutes.

One small problem I would like to share. - The keyword jump menu and Keyword search links now show all keywords for all images in all catagories on the site.

When you click on a search link in the jump menu and it belongs to a private catagory the search engine returns "Your search resulted in no matching records." which can be a litle confusing.

Q. Can this be further modified to show only keywords from the catagories that members are allowed to view?

Hope this is good feedback.

I am trying to integrate a javascript shopping cart called Jshop Pro. I have managed to edit the details template to show a buy button and single price only. I need to have some sort of dropdown system to allow up to 4 different price options. I have taken the following image from www.totaaldigitaal.nl for an example.

This works using cgi but my system uses javascript and if somebody could help that would be great.

You are welcome to look and try at www.airphoto.co.uk/4images
