I had someone post a virus in the comments section the other day which let to a lot of unneccessary fixing... is there some hack or code that could be worked on that would allow the admin to approve comments before they are posted.... much like myspace allows... OR is there a way to completely disable comments?

Did this ever happen??? I am looking to do the same to avoid people throwing viruses into the comments.

i got it back up! one line in my config file needed to be changed........... pheeeeeeeeeew.

it isnt restoring... all of the comments & category info are saved in the DB backup... i can see them when i click restore, but when i go to the gallery page NOTHING shows up....

all of the images are still uploaded on the server, but i do not know how to reconnect the info back to the gallery...

I got attacked with the step57 torjan & had to install again... i used the same database information that i already had set up.... is it possible & how would i do it.... to recover all the images & categories that were there before the virus got in... ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
