Templates & Styles (Requests & Discussions) / Re: iPhone Template Ideas
« on: December 11, 2007, 09:56:48 PM »
I do have an iPhone, hence my request for one.
4images doesn't use anything that isn't available on the Safari browser on the iPhone. In fact, I can view my gallery on it, but its just too small.
That's why I thought an iPhone modified template would be a welcome addition.
I could create one, but I really don't want to since there are now other gallery scripts out there that do what 4images does and more and provide a working template, already.

Thanks for your reply though.

Anyone attempting or attempted to create a template that'll work well on the iPhone?
I did a search and no one has mentioned it.

Thanks,

That's it! Thanks for your help!
Any clue why that happened?

Error messages are general, just "Upload error" or "Error creating thumbnail"
I do not have any mods and to reiterate, this is only happening on a new category that I created, not on the ones that already exist.

Thanks for your help,

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Cannot Work in New Categories
« on: November 28, 2006, 04:18:36 PM »
Having a bit of an issue here, let me explain.

I added a new category to my list.
I then tried to move an image into that category. It moved successfully, but the thumbnail wouldn't create.
I then tried to manually create one, but it wouldn't upload to it.
I then removed it all and tried to do it thru the interface, to no avail. I checked the permissions on the folders and all is set to 777.
I'm able to upload and create thumbnails fine in my other categories.
Anything else I need to check?
Let me know if you need any further information.

Thanks for your assistance,

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Re: Server Updated, New Problems.

Well its fixed as far as being able to see the images, but I'm still not able to upload images.
V@no, a while ago, you and I worked out another issue I was having with some PHP
variable needing set. Do you remember which one it was?
I'm sure that needs to be fixed as well.
I tried to do a search of our thread, but its long since gone with the loss of so many others.
All the upload file sizes are set to 8M or higher, it wasn't those. Its one dealing with some rare
issue that you found through Google. I'd look, but I can't remember what we searched for.

UPDATED: Nevermind I figured it out. It was the LimitRequestBody setting that is not in the PHP.ini file,
remember? :)

Anyway, thanks for your attempt.
We need to make a note of these settings in the FAQ,a t least I do :)

Hey V@no, its me again

Permissions are all set correctly. Did you get a chance to check out the phpinfo.php ?
I sent an email to my admin to set the safe_mode to off.
Anything else you can think of?

Thanks for your help.

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Server Updated, New Problems.

My host had to update the servers this past weekend and now that the site's back online, everything is broken. GREAT!
All the files are up there, but none of the images are working. I'm sure its an issue with the PHP settings, but I can't
remember which ones.
Could someone have a look at my site (http://www.markandlisas.com) and then the PHPINFO.PHP (http://www.markandlisas.com/phpinfo.php)
and let me know which settings I need to have my admin change?
I would greatly appreciate it. Its been so long since I've done it myself, I can't remember which.

Thanks for your help!

Well, I had to disable the code to do the limit size check, because nothing else would work for some reason.
It was happening with the first error check. weird.
Oh well, no worries on someone trying to send a HUGE image because I am the only one who uploads the images
and they are a set width, so they're not too big. (>300kb)

Anyway, thanks for your assistance with this. Good Mod!

if you want to modify this, find this code in html_mime_mail.php:
Code: [Select]
function html_mime_mail($limit=102400, $charset="iso-8859-1", $headers="")and change 102400 (value of $limit)  by whatever you want.

Unfortunately I tried that before posting here. I changed it all the way up to 500kb and it still gives me the error.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Hey,

This is something I'd really like to use. Unfortunately when I go to test it out I get the following error message:

Code: [Select]
error :: cannot attach ./data/media/6/JordansHaircut03.jpg (limited to 100ko/mail) !!!
Is that a server side setting or something in the HTML_MIME_MAIL.PHP file?

Thanks again for this mod and hopefully I can get it to work.

Thanks V@no, works great!

Any way to modify this so that the sub-categories won't inherit the redesigned template?
Other than creating a new HTML for each separate category?

Thanks.

Works like a charm!
Thanks for your help mawenzi!

use [MOD] Different cat templates and insert in every different cat template your special image, text, ... etc ...

mawenzi, thanks for your reply.
If I use this mod, the sub-categories will inherit the look. I like the look as it is for the sub-categories, I just want the main category to display one, regular sized image.
Any other suggestions?
