I have The mod auto-image resizer installed.  It works perfect but it lacks the ability to resize thumbnails as well.

eg.  A user uploads a video and a thumbnail for the video.  The thumbnail is 320x240.

I need a way to have it auto-sized at the time of uploading to 95px.  I have searched and read more mods and forum posts than I can shake a stick at and I can't find anything that does this.

Yes I know the ACP had the functions to do this but I need it to happen in real time so it doesn't throw my templates out of wack with huge thumbnails.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

OK I love this mod but I am having problems with one thing.  I can get the pic to show in the comments and in the profile but I can not get it to show on the details page.  I have double checked all the code and it is not working.  Anyone else run into this problem.

Never mind found the answer in another post.  Thought I ready them all.  Thanx for a great mod.

Does this work with flv files?  If so I will for sure be installing today.

Installation, Update & Configuration / Upgrade Question from 1.7.2
« on: May 27, 2007, 06:10:28 PM »
I am currently running 1.7.2.

Now my question is, I have a ton of mods installed and have played a bit with the code myself.  Is there a place to download 1.7.3 so I can manually do all the changes to the files then I can do the same for 1.7.4.  Or am I thinking about this the wrong way.  I just want to make sure mine is the most current version and am not going to mess things up by just uploading files.

Any help here would be greatly appreaciated.

Is there a way to adapt this script to auto resize the thumbnail upon user upload to the ACP settings?  I have been uploading thumbnails and they are too big then I have to goto the ACP to adjust them.  This is fine for when I am uploading but not when other users are.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Still looking  for a way to do this.  Has anyone been successful?  I have triedbut am not that good of a coder.

Does anyone have any idea?  This can't be the first time someone has wanted to do this.

See that is where the wierd thing is.  It is not downsizing the size of thethumbnail.  Letssay a user uploads a 800x600 image then for the thumbnail they choose the same image.  The thumbnail is not autosizing to the size that isset in the ACP.  It is staying the same 800x600 now this really really really silly.

I want to be able to submit videos to Digg.  They have an auto inport feature to grab thumbnails.  What I need to do is take the typical url like:

http://www.fukthedog.com/details.php?image_id=192

and have another url like

http://www.fukthedog.com/thumnail.php?image_id=192

This would suffice for digg to auto grab the thumbnails.  Does anyone have anything like this or know where to start to create one?

This I know but isn't there a way to auto-size the thumbnails when the files are uploaded?  I am not always the one uploading images so it gets out of control with full sized images as thumbnails.

I can't hav been the first person to need this.  Not all users have proper sized thumbnails.

Mods & Plugins (Requests & Discussions) / Auto-Thumbnail Resizing
« on: May 22, 2007, 02:28:33 AM »
I am having a problem here.  I am uploading videos and have to upload a thumbnail of the video.  The thumbnails are 320x240 so when the video is uploaded the thumbnail size is 320x240.

I need to know if there is a way to have the thumbnail resized to 95px wide.  Which is what the thumbnail setting on the ACP is set to.  Any help here would be great.
