I agree, the thing with embed urls is p.i.a., I might add few more steps that would allow use the whole embed code at upload and automatically exstract the needed url out of it.

"a php error" is a useless statement without quote of the exact error message. Please take a few minutes of your time and review MUST READ- Guidelines (forum rules) for posting questions in this forum!.
Anyway, the error you see is pretty much self explained and not related to 4images itself. It is something you added yourself (or tried to). You are missing ads/ad_468_60.php file

What error messages where you talking about? Since you do the changes on the site and every time you change something, the error messages can be different, quote the error messages, not just link to the site.
as of SHTML, you can't have both PHP and SHTML at the same time

Keep in mind that templates processed in a function, so if a script needs access some variables that set outside the function, you'll need add them into the global list. (you should ask about using SMF SSI from a function at the SMF forum, I have no idea how it works)
