Discussion & Troubleshooting / Problems with delete and editing function after server upgrade

First of all Happy New Year to everybody!
a few days ago after upgrading our server from PHP4/MYSQL 4 to PHP5/MYSQL 5 I cannot delete or editing the images already uploaded.
When I hit on the delete or editing command I get I blank page and nothing happen. Also from the system control panel when I chose Edit images/Add Images/Validate images I get a blank page, thus I cannot do anything from there. I don't get any errors so I cannot understand what's going on. I'm not sure this has some connection with the upgrading but it is the only thing I have changed since I have this problem.
Thanks for any suggestion I may receive.
