Ok, so you're saying this is the only way?
I try to run phpmyadmin through my Cpanel, but it doesn't work.  And I don't have enough knowledge to do it...welll, I guess I have to set up everything manually then which really sux

I just switched my host.  I've got the 4images installed on my new host, but how can I transfer my database and all files over?  I copied mysql_default.sql file in database folder over to my new host, but it doesn't work.
Someone please help

I got this error msg when I first run:
Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in Unknown on line 0

Please help.

Hi,

have you tried "Check new images"? You can upload new image files to your media directory (or in the category directories below) and add it with this function to the database.

OK..i see, so you can save your uploading time.  So after I check for new images, does it detect thumbnails automatically or how can I set one image for its associate thumbnail.  
I already uploaded thumnails into "thumnails" folder of that category, but it's still saying "thumbnail not found"

Guys,
I need to upload a large amount of images, so I'm planning to use wf_ftp or cute_ftp to do that, so how can I add all those images into my database?  If I do one by one in admin area will take me 1 million years.  So is there a better way???

Set "Upload" permisions to "Administrators" for the categories you want allow upload for administrators only.

How can you stop regular registered users from uploading file?  and only Admin can upload?

Your smtp host seems to be wrong. Are you sure that you need smtp server for sending emails. Try to set "Use SMTP" to No in your settings.
