Post by: stevebor1 on March 21, 2005, 10:22:59 PM
so i set all my categorys and images to "registered users only"
no categories show now if your not registered, *but they "guests" can still access top images and new images, or even click on a registered users and view all the photos. whats up with that?

figured it out, for some reason i had to set the sub-subcategory for one of the subcategories to restrict view of the category. strange why was that, when i dont have to set the sub category to registered user?

Vacation-   View Category - registered user                        -no photos
           View Image     - registered user

           >Mardi Gras-   View Category - All                           -no photos
                          View Image     - registered user

                    >Boojie Cam- View Category - All                   -photos
                                  View Image     - registered user

I guess it showed it cause there are pics in the boojie cam and not in the mardi gras folder

switched it to:

Vacation-   View Category - registered user                        -no photos
           View Image     - registered user

           >Mardi Gras-   View Category - All                           -no photos
                          View Image     - registered user

                    >Boojie Cam- View Category - registered user  -photos
                                       View Image     - registered user

I figured if you set the permission to the top folder, it wuld restrict access to anything inside it.

actualy this is not supposed to be like that, unless u changed the code that would ignore permissions of the parent category (I've posted the code on old forum long time ago, now its gone)
