Can someone tell me why this page is missing after I loaded a new template?
I started with one template from another site. I went back to defaul and it still didnt work.
http://www.tempestuousarts.com/gallery/index.php
http://www.tempestuousarts.com/gallery/categories.php?cat_id=19 From here the home and New Images links will no longer load.
I've been working on this for 2 days, and really need some help. Thank you.

can u try just copy all your files into /gallery2/ folder or maybe try to rename it?
how about permissions? did u check it?
-
yes, permissions are ok. Do you mean reinstall?
-
I would recommend re-installing, and double check what files your template installs.
I have a hinting suspicion that the problem lies in the fact that there is a "home.php" in your root, I think index.php and home.php are fighting over which one wants to serve up the home page.

Thank you. I am trying to reinstall to a new folder. I didnt install the first one, so I'm a bit lost. Will let you know if this works!
Also - I deleted the home file that was in the folder, but still the same.

Did you delete home.html or home.php?
I still get an error with this:
http://www.tempestuousarts.com/gallery/home.php
CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:
-
I deleted home.html - There is no home.php
-
Doeth, I should have quantified my response.
You need home.html, it's the template for index.php.
Definitely at this point I would re-install the base 4images gallery, then make sure everything works, and if so, install your template, then check if everything works.

Ive tried reinstalling several times with nothing but error. Gee, what a pain. I am non programmer material.

What errors are you getting?
I would first recommend checking the FAQ's or using the board search feature to see if other people have had similar errors, but I don't mind helping you out directly with any specific errors you are getting.
No matter what, you should be able to get the base 4images script up and running (as long as it has no modifications).

There's an expression that holds very true for most: Redheads have no patience! I can create many things and multitask in numerous but when it comes to any code, my brain explodes. I have no patience left.
Kevin - you have been so helpful. I sent you an email from your contact form about maybe helping me out with my site.
