Ok, Users can normaly upload their pics one by one through the browser.
I havn't found any explanation on how the "URL upload" works.
As I have users all around the world that will uplaod hundreds of pics, I need a better upload feature.
The way of having a big email account for storing up to 100MB of pics is not really usefull as each eMail is limited in Size (so 100 pics would be 50 eMails - and who is willing to do this?) and also I would have all the work to put the images into the gallery.
So I need a feature that allows "admins" to upload a bunch of pics in one go. (If a user has shown that he is serious he can become admin).
I could create a restricted directory on my server for each admin I have where he could upload using ftp.
But would it be possible for _them_ to include their pics then or will it be my job later again?
What I think of is an admin upload.
The admin specifies in which categorie a new gallerie should be created.
He chooses the existing Categorie "Cars/Mercedes"
In the next form field he enters the name for his new subcategorie e.g. "1960" for the models of this year.
Then he can upload a .zip file with alle the pictures in it. This can be quite a lot.
And it must be possible to upload into an existing categorie by using a .zip file leaving just the 2nd line (for specifing a new subcategorie) empty.
Let's say that in this case my admin has 100 pics. He puts them in one mercedes1960.zip file and uploads this.
After the upload has finished, 4images automatically unzippes the file and generates the images in the gallerie.
Before is Cars/Mercedes
After ist Cars/Mercedes/1960 with 100 pics in it.
Wouldn`t this be a nice feature :-) ?

I also need multiple upload for specific groups/users that aren't admins. Any idea how to do it?
Thanks!
