I am currently using coppermine to host a photo stock library, I am looking for a viable alternative to replace and I found 4Images via my new web host.
My current site is split up in to galleries of events, thumbnails and medium resolution images (admin adjustable) are viewable by everyone clients have to contact me to set up a password, they then have to login to download high res images. they don't view the full size picture there is a download link. They do not pay online, they download and then I get an email notification of who downloaded which picture, this is then invoiced for later once the image is published.
There are basically a few mods that have been made so this all works.
firstly the url to each high resolution image is secured (i didn't make this mod) so you cannot download the image by typing in the path.
second mod was to get an email sent to me everytime an image was downloaded.
These are the most important mods really, so I need to know if there is anything similar for 4Images, or is there something already set up for it to work as a photo library.
I have been searching for quite a while for this so I really hope someone can be of help.
OK, I've had more of a look around and found reference to a "tracking user downloads" mod, has anyone found or made a mod to track guest downloads??
