Maybe this would be some kind of attachment MOD. I doubt that anyone has done it, couse this can be very difficult.

... and why you don't want to use bb-code for images in your comments ... ?
... I think, in default template is a img-button for this ...

It is because of no desire that it wants to do the URL input.
Bb-code is not so used in Japan .
In the blog though it is used ‥

... you need a image upload funktion in comment form like eg. in this forum ... ?
... it is a little request, but I think it is a hard piece of code ...

I just remembered that I once saw interesting modification for PHPBB, it's called Imageshack Upload box.

http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/8090 (this is MOD for PHPBB forum and NOT for 4images)

You can upload images on imageshack server and automatically add url to post ;)
