Title: Problems importing Database
Post by: hurstville on January 06, 2008, 08:45:12 AM
I import with PHPmyAdmin my database via a .csv file.

However, somehow, the 4images gallery does not recognise the data, keywords and link to thumbnails and larger images. It displays all the data, but with a placeholder instead of real image.
so the data is there, but searchable.

When I upload images with 4images, one by one, i can search for them, find them and display them.

back in PHPmyAdmin, i browse the MySQL database and all the entries look exactly the same.

does anyone recognise the problem? any suggestions?

Thanks, dimitri

dimitri,

that was a great statement

where we can see that?

are the pictures in /data/media/exampleCATID/ ?
why did you import csv?

more info would be fine.

thanks nicky

the site is www.rachelanddimitri.com/octavum (could the problem be that the site is in a subfolder)

the images are in /data/media/1

the thumbnails are in /data/thumbnails/1

when i uploaded images manually, this is where they where, so i put the other images there as well. the subfolder exampleCAID is not there.

and i import the csv file as it seems the easiest solution for me. i can leave my database in access or even better in excel, exort as csv and the impor works. all data is there. but i am happy to consider another way if that would solve my troubles.

thanks, dimitri

hi,

you doing something wrong ;)

example: http://www.rachelanddimitri.com/octavum/details.php?image_id=93
in http://www.rachelanddimitri.com/octavum/data/media/1/
i do not see the picture zz0193.jpg.

csv is only related to data in your database..

but not to the pictures on your FTP
