Title: Is there a MOD so members can delete their own images?
Post by: Melissa67 on October 01, 2007, 10:15:59 PM
Just wondering if there's a MOD so members can delete their own images? I have the MOD installed so members can create a new category and then upload their images but they are unable to delete them.  :(

I already have this MOD installed but it doesn't allow members to delete & organize their own images.

@Melissa67
... you don't need a MOD for this ... it is already in 4images ...
... ACP -> General -> Settings -> Session and User Settings -> Allow users to delete their own images -> Yes

Actually it was checked already but where is a member able to delete their own images? What page would they need to go to? I logged in as being a member and couldn't find the option. Am I blind?  8)

Must be image owner in details page. If so, you see a link (on right side) for edit & delete.
Like this: [edit] [delete]

So do I place [edit] [delete] on the details page and then link [edit] to member_editimage?

Yes, but I want the members to be able to edit or delete their own images and not have admin privileges. When I login as Admin and click on edit or delete I am taken into the Admin control panel. I don't want members to be taken into this. Is there not another way?

There is other way and is in program ... image owner or admin can edit / delete.

1 - Image owner can edit / delete by click on link and redirect to member page.
2 - Admin can edit / delete by click on link and redirect to ACP - > images - > edit images page.

When I am logged in as a member there is no button for edit or delete, only when I am logged in as a member. What is the code to add this?

Ok so 2 member word ... I lost ...

There is no code to add. Is there in program.

If upload image from member account, you can edit after. If login from admin after upload from member account, you still can edit (anytime ... no need for after if log from admin).

I understand what you are saying but when I do login as a member there is no option to edit or delete an image. I don't see it anywhere on the page.

When I click on one of the images it goes to a page called details. php. All I see are the buttons, Lightbox, E-card, Download, Download Zip. I don't see anywhere on the page where I can delete the image. Am I on the right page?

Ok, I see the problem now. I had uploaded the images logged in as Admin and then I was trying to edit or delete them by being the image user!! I'm glad it works now!

I had one more question. How can I disable validate image? I would like it for the member to be able to upload their images without the Admin having to validate their images.

How can I disable validate image?

Same place - ACP - > Setting - > Account activation.

Ok. I was looking for a line that said Validate Images - yes no.  Thanks, I have it working now.
