I would very much like to use 4images in connection with my Postnuke (an open source CMS system) web portal. So I asked the developer group of Postnuke if anyone would like to make 4images into a postnuke module. Here's the message I posted in their forum:
http://mods.postnuke.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=PN_Cyboards&file=flat_read&board=5&id=16472&thread=16472
I just thought I'd let you know about this.
Best regards

PS: Sorry for not writing in German. I read German but I don't write it very well.

even though I am not part of the dev. team of 4images I hope, that they will not waste their time trying to integrate 4images into postnuke. The reason for this is, that you only spend your time adjusting your script to each and every postnuke release (which by the way is still rogue status). Then after a while the phpnukler crowd will want the same and at the end of the day the only thing you will have to worry about is how to keep both groups happy. (while phpnuke and good old Franzisco doesn´t even care about mods ans releases faster than you can rewrite your mods) The only good will be that you will get thousand of hits and download requests, but since all of these wont pay a penny you can only pray for an understanding webhost ;-)
There is a script by the way

It is a modification of my egallery. This has been araound quite some time. I prefer 4images. And really hope that they keep developing their script and make it perfect instead of wasting thier time adjusting it to some unfinished CMS system.
just my 2 cents

As I am not a developer I will not go into the details of this discussion - my initial idea was simply that perhaps one of the postnuke crowd had the time and skills to maintain a Postnuke version of 4images. If so this person could get in touch with the developer of 4images and they could make an agreement on how to do things. That's all.

Hi!
I wrote a gallery page for PHP Nuke. It should work in Postnuke too.
It's not a "real" Nuke module since I don't like the new structure in ver 5.5. Just download the file, modify some vars (you'll see) and copy it to the root directory. Voila!
Download it at http://www.dcoul.de/thomasnesges.de/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=1 (preview of my pages)
