Title: How to modify 4images so it works like f.e. Coppermine

Hallo all,

I would like to know how I can achieve the following:

User signs up @ my 4images. User can create a category as his own photo album. User can upload ONLY TO THIS category/album.

You see where I am going? I want to establish a photo album for xx amount of people, who will have their own photoalbum in there as a category.

On my old GucciGirl Site http://www.guccigirl.info
you can see exactly what I want. Only there I still have to create the categories/album for each girl myself and manually. Also noone has permission to anything. Just ASKING the user only to upload to HIS folder/category/album is naturally not an option and still, he cannot create his own category.

The best solution would be:
User signs up @ my 4images. Category is automatically created with the users name. User can upload ONLY TO THIS category/album.


I have searched the net for months and looked at all the crap out there. The only solution which is good enough is Coppermine but I really don't like either the coding nor the design(s). 4images is what I want for this but I will have to "rape" it somehow in order to basically change it's purpose.

Hab DAS mittlerweile gefunden, aber ich wäre für weitergehende Hilfen dankbar

Ok, screw that :| the MPC is too old and wont even work on 1.7.1, not to mention 1.7.2
Does anyone have a sugestion? Could anyone make this MOD work for me anyway?

Please help. Rewards still apply. I am even prepared to pay 20 Euros per PayPal!
