I am reviewing the 4images gallery for use internally within my company for an enterprise image management solution. However, I have a couple of concerns/questions regarding this product.
First, I would prefer not to maintain a separate user list, since everyone will already have an account in our Active Directory. Does this product currently provide this type of integration (LDAP maybe?), or will there ever be in the future?
Second, is it possible to store the images on different servers (i.e. store rendering drawings on 1 Windows-based server, released product photos on another server, etc.)? Or, do they all have to be stored on the physical server on which the 4images gallery resides?
Thank you for your time & assistance!

Does anyone have ANY ideas or comments on this? Thanks!!

4images supports remote images, simply use URL to the images on upload page. (but then you might need tweak 4images a little, cause PHP does not like remote media, it become very slow.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I thought that was probably the case with LDAP/AD integration since I saw no references to it anywhere on the site or in the forums.

Are you able to give me any more details as to what types of "tweaks" might need to be done to speed up the remote media access?
